Qwiki - a Whole New Way to Get Information

I recently learned about Qwiki - a new way to search for information.  When I was a student, we used encyclopedias to get information.  All of the information came in the form of print and images.  Well, now we have Qwiki, a multimedia encyclopedia, and it is quite impressive!  Take a look for yourself!  I found it to be an interesting informational experience!  I think students who are doing research will enjoy this type of resource.

Poetry Month is Right Around the Corner Are you getting ready for Poetry Month in April? If so, I have some resources to share with you for creating concrete poems. Concrete poems are words written in a shape to convey a poem. They look like this: Recently I went on a mission to search for a site to use with a fellow colleague and her students. They wanted to make concrete poetry on their Chromebooks. There aren't many sites that allow the user to actually write words into any shape.  There is the Read, Write, Think interactive for Theme Poetry.  Here is what it looks like. I have bookmarks saved on Pinterest, Symbaloo, Listly, Delicious, Diigo, Etc. Guess what, sometimes I have a hard time finding what I bookmarked.  :) So I'm curious to know what you use and if you have a favorite.
