  This past summer I attended the ISTE21 Live (online) conference. One of the big themes this year was sessions on graphic design. This is due to the amount of online instruction that was being created last year for remote learning. one , two , three , four , five I am thinking about ordering a Google Cardboard Viewer .  With the Makerspace movement growing and knowing how much our high school students enjoyed the Makerspaces that we introduced last year, I'm thinking this could be a winner and quite popular with our students. I especially like the fact that there are many   Google Cardboard Apps   to download and try with the viewer.  My only concern is that I am known for having motion sickness and would probably suffer through out one of the roller coaster rides. Who doesn't love earning something for their accomplishments? I really want to try this activity to  Gamify Your PD   from Alice Keeler. After playing with the Google spreadsheet a bit and practicing with myself as a student, I found it quite easy to use and I really think this could be beneficial to teachers, coaches and students. Below I have embedded one of my Google Docs with some really neat fonts. I can't believe I didn't already know how to add more fonts to my Google Docs.  As I was going through my Google Reader, I read a post on Google Apps Experts blog .  Take a look and see how simple it is to add new fonts. Isn't that really easy?  I never even noticed "add fonts".  I need to pay better attention! Would you also like to know how I made a colorful background in my Google Doc? First click on File and then Page Setup In Page Setup, click on Page Color and click on any color. If you don't see a color to your liking, click on custom to get the whole array of possible colors.  Notice that you can also change the orientation, margins and paper size. This weekend I downloaded a bunch of new fonts from www.dafont.com .  It is so much fun finding new fonts to use.  I learned about the website Dafont from This Blog Post .  This blog post also tells how to download the fonts, although I found that I needed to extract files before I could install. Here is a look at some of the fonts I downloaded at the recommendation of Nancy, the blogger: I highly recommend Dafont to anyone trying to find just the right font to use in your work.  And wouldn't students have fun with this as well!
