Homecoming week is coming to an end for us at Oshkosh North High School. Having all of the fun dress up days, hall decorating, the parade, the tailgate, the game and the dance has been such a blessing after having to cancel everything last year.  I loving all of the excitement and school spirit. Here are a few Links and Loves from this week: #1 - Google Chrome had a recent update. One of the updates that Google is working on is to add more gestures to how we interact with a touch screen. So, when presenting a Google Presentation, instead of tapping on the screen to advance the slides, a person now can use a swipe to advance. This week has gone so fast. I’ve been busy with a full plate. Just the way I like it! Here are a few things that have been a part of my week as well as some resources I’ve shared with teachers. We flew our drone !  The students were extremely excited to experience this advanced form of technology. Our drone has gesture controls such as a palm launch and facial recognition.  The students quickly realized that it takes knowledge and skills to be able to capture quality videos and photos with the drone. Are you looking for a classroom spinner? I recommended this one to a fellow educator.  You can edit the spinner and then save the unique url for your spinner. Do you ever have a few minutes left of class and you need a quick way to engage your students? I love this site . Hello!  It's nice to be back sharing some links and loves! A few weeks ago my son, Robert, and I tested out  this DJI drone  for the first time. In  this video  you will see Robert using hand gestures to control the drone. When Robert waves his hand the drone will take off and go into the air.  The drone locks in on Robert as a target and will then follow Robert as he moves around. When Robert holds up both hands in the air, the drone comes back down and lands in his hand. The technology developed to use and control this drone is truly amazing.  I can't wait to use this with staff and students!
