Happy Star Wars Day!

I often get asked, “What is the quickest way for my students to video record themselves on their Chromebooks”. I usually suggest WeVideo or Screencastify. But, there is an update which will make the solution to this question even easier. The Chrome OS camera app now takes both pictures and videos! The videos can be directly saved to the Chromebook under downloads or to Google Drive.

Google Forms - Can Now Grade Short Answers!!
The ability to make a Google Form into a quiz has
been around for quite a while now. The quiz feature
will automatically grade questions such as multiple
choice, dropdown and checkboxes. Now you can add
short answers and have them scored as well. You
will enter in any of the possible correct answers in
the answer key and there is also a checkbox to
mark all other answers incorrect.

Poetry Month is Right Around the Corner Are you getting ready for Poetry Month in April? If so, I have some resources to share with you for creating concrete poems. Concrete poems are words written in a shape to convey a poem. They look like this: Recently I went on a mission to search for a site to use with a fellow colleague and her students. They wanted to make concrete poetry on their Chromebooks. There aren't many sites that allow the user to actually write words into any shape.  There is the Read, Write, Think interactive for Theme Poetry.  Here is what it looks like. I have bookmarks saved on Pinterest, Symbaloo, Listly, Delicious, Diigo, Etc. Guess what, sometimes I have a hard time finding what I bookmarked.  :) So I'm curious to know what you use and if you have a favorite.
