Recursive Drawing

Our students love it when they can use their computers to explore art.  Recently I came across a neat site that allows you to make a recursive drawing.

Excellent! That's looks a nice methodology to solve some of the current educational problems, specially in my country (Catalonia). I'm working in a new project for a new school and we have worked in some ideas very close to that. Thanks to share you project!

What is Twine? Perhaps you have had fun playing with "choose your own adventure" type stories, games or surveys. Social media has been buzzing with such surveys like this one: Which Disney Character Would Play You In The Movie of Your Life? Recently I came across Twine ( twinery.org )  for creating your own interactive stories, surveys or games. Creating a story is a simple as generating a flow chart such as this one: What makes Twine so great is that you only need to type text into a box and then put brackets around the word or words that you wish to have the next part of your story linked to.  Any words in brackets will automatically generate a new box on the flowchart. Red Light, Green Light - Chromebook Guidelines - And a Free Poster

Here is an idea to help manage Chromebooks in the classroom and to gi ve students clear expectations for the use of Chromebooks (or other devices) upon the start of your class.  Here is what you need: A red, yellow and green circle or square and a clip to hang the color of your choice for the day.  When preparing for the lesson, make a note on how you would like to begin class.  Here is a poster to display showing the expectations for each color: Click here to get your own copy of this poster.   This idea came directly from our high school staff and we plan to try this method out to start the new school year.  Giving students clear direction at the start of class will help to alleviate any issues with students being distracted or consumed with their device when beginning class.  If you have an idea of for Chromebook management that you are willing to share, I'd love to hear about it.
