A Tutorial - Wireless Transfer App

Sometimes I wish to have a photo or video from my iPad on my PC or on another iPad.  I was sad to see the Bump App go away since it was an app I used all of the time to transfer photos and videos from my iPad, but I believe I have found one even better!

Not too long ago, I demonstrated a new app for our staff called the Wireless Transfer App.  This app works simply and beautifully!  Surprisingly I like it even better than Bump. For one thing, there is no bumping involved!

Here is an idea to help manage Chromebooks in the classroom and to gi ve students clear expectations for the use of Chromebooks (or other devices) upon the start of your class.  Here is what you need: A red, yellow and green circle or square and a clip to hang the color of your choice for the day.  When preparing for the lesson, make a note on how you would like to begin class.  Here is a poster to display showing the expectations for each color: Click here to get your own copy of this poster.   This idea came directly from our high school staff and we plan to try this method out to start the new school year.  Giving students clear direction at the start of class will help to alleviate any issues with students being distracted or consumed with their device when beginning class.  If you have an idea of for Chromebook management that you are willing to share, I'd love to hear about it.

I Have Some Big News -- Actually HUGE News to Share!

We've Been Awarded a Technology Grant for Our High School! Let's Celebrate! In January, our principal, Ms. Jackie Schleicher, came to me with a challenge.  There was a local grant opportunity called the Rudoy Technology Grant. We decided to take on the challenge of writing a proposal that showed innovation, career connections, the 4 Cs (soft skills)  and incorporated current and advanced technologies. We have been notified that our proposal was accepted and we have won the Rudoy Technology Grant through the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation !
