Links and Loves - Summer Plans

This summer is going to be a fun-filled and exciting one. Here are a few things I have planned professionally. On June 14th, I am presenting at the Summer Technology Institute in our district. In June I’m attending the ISTE conference in Chicago. ISTE is the best of the best when it comes to technology conferences.  I will be presenting for both ISTE and for Innovative Educator Consulting . Don’t worry, I’ll be sharing all that I learn! Starting in June I will be teaching an online course on Artificial Intelligence. Teachers around the nation will be joining the course though ISTE U. The possibilities of using AI with students in the classroom is truly exciting. In June and August I will be presenting at various school districts. It’s incredibly beneficial to be able to see what educators and districts are doing with ed tech. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Curricular Connection Google Certification

You only need a web browser to access it, and you can use it to record or edit any audio file.  It is free to use and allows a person to record up to 5 minutes. This site is very similar to Audacity, except there is no download needed, just a browser. And it works great on a Chromebook! Happy Friday Ya'll! Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Star Wars Day ! I often get asked, “What is the quickest way for my students to video record themselves on their Chromebooks”. I usually suggest WeVideo or Screencastify . But, there is an update which will make the solution to this question even easier. The Chrome OS camera app now takes both pictures and videos ! The videos can be directly saved to the Chromebook under downloads or to Google Drive. These lesson reflection sheets are a nice resource for closing a lesson.   Today’s Meet is shutting down. Here are some alternatives . One of my colleagues, Val, shared this video on #eyebombing.
