It has been such a terrific week despite a winter storm that brought 9.2 inches of snow to our neighborhood. This week has been filled with amazing conversations and projects that have filled my professional bucket. Check out this interactive map . Here are a few links and loves from my week: Sorted Paragraphs add-on for Google Docs Recently I had a conversation with a colleague who was wishing that she could alphabetize a list in Google Docs because that is a feature in Microsoft Word.  I did a search for “alphabetize in a Google Doc” and found out that there is an add-on called Sorted Paragraphs that can do this.  With this add-on you can quickly and easily alphabetize a list in Google Docs similar to how you would do so in Microsoft Word.  Here is a demo video . Happy Friday Folks! My goodness it has been a busy week. I’m writing this post at 4:30am on this Friday morning. Nothing like sharing at the last minute! Here are a few highlights from my week: Tomorrow, Saturday, January 19th, I will be presenting a FREE SimpleK12 Webinar on Google Arts and Culture . Have you ever used this platform? In the webinar I will be showing all of the features and uses for using Google Arts and Culture in any classroom. I would love it if you joined me. Sign up here . (thank you to my colleague, Val, for sharing this with me) As you may know, I’m totally immersed in all things Google and Google offe

This week I read this article from Edutopia about Research-Based Tech Integration Strategies by Liz Kolb .  The big idea I came away with is that even though students all have their own devices, it is really important to keep the learning social and connected.  In other words, even if students are working on an assignment individually, they should still have opportunities to work socially with others. This week’s Links and Loves is dedicated to ways that we can do exactly that! #1 GSuite - With features such as sharing capabilities, built in chat, built in commenting, editing, suggesting and viewing rights and activity dashboard , users can connect and collaborate in many ways with Google Docs, Slides, Sheets etc. Google Meet also provides a safe platform for online conferencing. #2 Goosechase - Organize and run digital scavenger hunts to gather knowledge and information.  Allow others from your community and beyond to take part. #3 Slack - A fantastic platform

Happy New Year Everyone! Image Credit Do you have any goals for the year 2019? Have you heard of #OneWord365 ? This movement has been around for a while now and the idea is to choose just one word to focus on every day all year long. This one word sums up who you want to be or how you want to live. My #OneWord365 is C r e a t i v i t y ! Recently I’ve take up a few creative projects. I have been learning brush lettering , which is a type of calligraphy.   I also have been learning how to use Instagram to its full potential as a way to share and connect with other techy people like this teacher does. I’m also determined to learn more about and become better at the Cricut machine. January is known for getting organized. Here are 10 ways to declutter your digital life in 10 minutes. I would like to tackle one of these each day for the first 10 days in January. Wish me luck. 🍀 Do you use Flippity.net ? There is an update . You can now create 5 different
