Please Help Comment on Our Student Blogs

Have you ever noticed that most blogs are written by adults?  I read A LOT of blogs everyday, but rarely do I come across blogs written by younger students.  Our students want to have a voice and to be able to connect with others from around the globe.  So, we have begun student blogs and I'm hoping to convince you to write a comment on some of our students' blog posts.

Our students are so excited to have written their first blog posts. We  are currently studying Common Ground in our Theme Readers in reading class.  So we wrote our first blog posts about our interests and background.  What our students are looking for is a comment to see if people share some similar interests (Common Ground) with  them.

Leaving a comment is very easy to do and only takes a few minutes.

Here is what a blogpost looks like:
Below the blog post is a place to leave a comment.  It looks like this:

To make sure that I protect our students' privacy, all students have created a pseudonym and avatar to represent themselves.  Also, all comments must be approved by me, the administrator of the blog, before they can appear.

PLEASE help out my students by taking a moment to leave a comment on a blog.  If you are a teacher, perhaps you could have your students leave comments on our blogs. This makes for an authentic writing assignment.  It would mean so much to our students and would show them that they do have a voice and can connect with others through blogging.  (Make sure to include your location so that we know where you are from)

Click here to see our blog posts.  If you are a teacher and would like to have your students leave comments on our blogs, just share this link with your students:  www.kidblog.org/nortonmpes.  My students and I would be truly grateful for your participation.

We are anxiously awaiting and hopeful that we will hear from you soon.

Aw, this was a really nice post. In idea I would like to put in writing like this additionally – taking time and actual effort to make a very good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and by no means seem to get something done.
