Great Interactive Dictionary Site

Hi Everyone!

Here is a link to a great interactive dictionary site for students to use.  We used it to create word webs for our vocabulary words.  The students also used the "Say it" feature that allows them to hear the word.  Each word in the web also gives a definition when you hover over the word.

A great site to make a word web on is bubbl.us.  This site takes a little practice, but students get the hang of it pretty quickly.

Thanks for sharing, Deb!

Great ideas - especially at the beginning of a unit with the bubblus! I like the webbing ideas of how words can have more than one meaning too - Wow! Great resources!! Keep 'em coming!!

I like the dictionary site. I'm going to show the class the site tomorrow. I've added it to my website. I've used bubbl.us before and it works well.
Thanks for the info. and links.

I love your blog. My class used the Colgate site on Friday and had a blast! I'm planning to use the Internet safety site too. Thanks for the hints on the email. I'd love a copy of your letter.

Wow! Thanks Deb for all your great websites and video tutorials. I just finished viewing the tutorials on downloading videos from your flip camera to movie maker. I'm so excited to begin using this technology with my students.

Vicki, putting the Flip videos into a movie can be tricky. I'll be happy to help you with this if you need me. I love my Flip video camera!
